“Hi, I´m Mei. I´m twelve years old and I´m from Sapporo. It´s a city in the north of Japan. I play in a Taiko group. We play the drums and shout and dance. We usually play in a group of about ten children. It can be very loud! I started playing when I was ten I couldn´t play for a long time because I got very tired. Now I´m stronger and I can play for longer!”

“Hi, my name´s Koki. I´m from Osaka. I sing in a children´s choir every week. Last year we visited the USA and we made a CD. We sing Japanese and English songs. Before I started in the choir I couldn´t sing in English. My favourite song is called Haru ga kita. It´s a traditional Japanese song about flowers and birds in spring. In Japan we go to see the flowers on the cherry trees in spring.”
